Sloth's "Billygoat" and "Broken Crutch" are the songs on the album that reflect the band's Tool fetish the most. Imitation may be the highest form of flattery, but there's something to be said about originality. In my mind, Tool is one of the most influential bands of the nineties, so when you basically mimic their debut EP Opiate, you have really crossed the line. One element that really bothered me was their obvious infatuation with the music of Tool. In terms of their music, Sloth incorporates many of the characteristics of other often well-established bands into their own style. But if you were to turn on the radio and tune into any active rock station and listen for a few minutes, you'd undoubtedly hear something that sounds exactly like the music that Sloth is putting forth here. With the opening track (the aforementioned "All We Know") the band introduces a heavy sound that really doesn't have much behind it it's rather bland and generic sounding, albeit heavy in an all encompassing sort of way.
